The filters in Starboard are a powerful way to understand vessel behaviour and answer complex analysis questions.

Using filters to uncover noteworthy vessels in your area of interest

You can combine filters such as IUU listed or closely linked, high risk flag states, transshipments, fishing registrations, and other risk indicators to find vessels of interest.

Using filters to assess vessels arriving into your area of interest

When your analysis represents high risk vessel behaviours or characteristics, for example transshipment on the high seas and unmatched fishing registration, this analysis can be useful for building custom queries, which alongside area filters, can be used to risk assess vessels.

The vessel list can be useful to quickly assess vessels for inspection or further investigation. Sorting to key events on the journey can support additional prioritisation of vessels based on journey information such as missing AIS, duration at sea, and the number of transshipments.

Tip: Once you have set up your analysis you can copy the web link (URLs) to return to it later or share with others in the team. Learn more: Sharing your analysis with other Starboard users.
