Starboard's measurement tools, vessel information and vessel track histories can be used for detailed analysis of a vessel’s movements in marine protected areas.

Try it out: See vessels sheltering from a storm in June 2021 including a 54m long factory trawler, drifting to within 1.2nm from Auckland Island, possibly in violation of the management plan and causing a biosecurity risk.

Try it out: See a vessel anchored for over 4 days <300m from shore at an unapproved anchorage location, potentially in violation of the Regional Coastal Plan for the remote Auckland Island in the New Zealand EEZ.

Tip: The area measurement tool can be saved to create your own areas of interest for analysis →
